OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD DRIVE
Help the CTL by donating items by Fri., Nov. 9th
STEPS is participating in the CTL drive for Operation Christmas Child shoebox project. This project, through Samaritan’s Purse, has distributed 157 million shoebox gifts to children around the word since 1993. Please help by donating the following NEW items:
Clothing: tee shirts, dresses, socks, shoes, slippers, flip flops, sandals, underwear
Accessories: watches, hair items, sunglasses, necklaces, purses, compact mirrors, nail care items
Winter items: hats, gloves, scarves
Please DO NOT send in the following: Candy— toothpaste— gum— used or damaged items— war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures— chocolate or food— seeds— fruit rolls or fruit snacks— drink mixes (powder or liquid)— liquids lotions— medications or vitamins— breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers— aerosol cans.
Please DO send in items for boys and girls, ages 2-14 years. Items will be sorted, boxed into shoeboxes, and wrapped for distribution.
Other donations needed for wrapping the gifts include:
- Children’s holiday wrapping paper
- Scotch tape
- Children’s greeting cards
- Empty shoeboxes
- Monetary donations
